Burn, Baby Burn!

Today I made an important decision.  I want to be healthier. I want to be more fit. Looking at some other pictures - I used to be super hot.  That isn't an entirely fair statement.  I'm still super hot.  But I'm not as healthy as I could be. I've had some major up and downs, both emotionally and physically - and I really want to get back on the right track.

So here's to the start of something new. I've decided weight isn't "just a number" - because muscle weighs more than fat. But I'd like to document my plan and journey.

I know this is going to be hard. There's a lot of things that is going to be hard to give up. Soda? Alcohol? Carb-oh-freaking-hydrates?! But being hard doesn't mean it's impossible.

So what needs to be done? Exercise. Freaking exercise. That means those yoga pants might actually need to see some yoga. Those sweatshirts need to get sweaty. Those running shoes - might actually have their laces tied. I need to go to the gym. For following such a strict budget, it blows my mind that I willingly spend $20 a month on a gym I don't go to. That's literally paying to not lose weight. I think I can talk myself into going to the gym three times a week.

Less than half the days of the week at the gym. That's not a huge chunk of time!

3:168 hours a week. I seriously can't find a reason on that level to not go.

But it's going to take more than three hours a week. I've had bad hip pain. Knee pain. Neck and back pain to no end. I've got to do some at home. Stretching or something. As a bare minimum. Planking could be good for that - We all love Plankton's ambition right?

But what about the noms? Already decided no more sugary drinks. Or non sugary drinks. Water. This chick needs water. I mean, I live in the desert and could easily drink up gallons more water.  Imagine how bomb my skin would be, how hydrated my hair would be - not to mention all those pesky kidney  stone issues I've had! And I'm sure water would be a lot heart-healthier than soda and alcohol.

So what's the plan? Where do we go? Well I'm now starting the #BurnBabyBurn.

  • Gym - Monday - Wednesday - Saturday
  • Home Workouts - Tuesday - Thursday 
  • Home Stretching/Yoga - Daily

I'll save Sunday Funday for meal planning and prep. And a chance to post my weekly updates.
